Nothing screams family more then 9 people, 4 pets, and one tiny apartment kitchen making quadruple batches of cookies with little hands reaching into m&m bags and christmas music playing while pizza’s cook and messes get made.

I know it’s nothing special but this Christmas I have loved being able to make the seemingly ordinary super fun and get into the spirit of  the more the merrier. If I’m totally honest I tend recharge in solitude so I am the first to admit that I can be a total Scrooge when it comes to people crashing my 4-9pm time with my hubby and girls. I kind of cringe at the thought of having 9 people in my kitchen, making a mess, but honestly I’ve been really working on giving my time and my need for a clean home to the Lord.  It’s like as soon as the house gets clean I get this urge to host a get together (and never just a get together it’s got to involve glitter, glue, or sprinkles) and pretty much axe down any progress I’ve made on having a tidy home. I can say while the sprinkles underfoot did kind of kill me the next morning I do love that my kids and their cousins will grow up with found memories baking cookies, staying up way past bed time, and being with one another.

Thank you Lord for sending Jesus and thank you for sugar cookies and sprinkles I love that we get to make these for your birthday!

Very Merrily,
